Power Points don't work

I have a 2001 Supercrew. The Power points in the front and rear seat have stopped working. I have checked the fuse panels both inside the truck and in the engine compartment. The #1 and #12 for the power points are fine. The cigar lighter works, and it's fuse is #3, also fine. I have tried with the engine off and running. Chilton and the owners manuals leave a lot to be desired to answering this problem. I ran a search on this subject but there were no answers. Has anyone else had this problem? It's making me crazy, which is a short trip most of the time LOL.

The owners manual states not to use the cigar lighter as a power point, but since cigar lighters were around long before power points, and they both use a 20 amp fuse, I don't see a problem. I use my power points for a small 12V air compressor for topping up my tires when towing a trailer.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Did you check the wirs on the back of the points? My rear point didn't work, I traced it down to the wire being unplugged.

I haven't looked at the wiring, but I guess I'm going to have to
I am a bit of a klutz when it comes to wiring. Thanks for your reply.
