Replacing OE Shocks
Please give me a recommendation on replacing the OE shocks on my 2002 2WD Screw. They have 35K on them and I would like to possibly improve the handling and ride. Truck is used on pavement only and occasional towing of my boat.
Thanks

Pretty much anyone that buys Bilstein, Edlebrock, or Rancho RS9000x is happy. Few try more than one as I think they all have lifetime warranties.
I had RS9000's on my last F-150 and liked the adjsutability for towing vs. emtpy.

If your on a budget and you ride only on the street and you want to go all the way around for under 60 bucks...then go to Sears they have the Monroe Gasmatics for half price till the 31st...regular 24.99 each...now 12.49

How do you know the shocks are not any good now ?? Could your ride problems be caused by your tires and or tire pressure you use ??...Could a rim be bent ??
I have not had a problem with a shock on my rigs the last 20 years...Tires yes...Front end parts yes...Bent 2 rims, yes...

Ford shocks suck, I was amazed how bad they were when I took them off. The fronts were really bad. No smooth movement and they would stay where I compressed them. The rears were easily compressed by hand and one stayed compressed and the other returned slowly. I bet anyone over 30K on Ford shocks needs new ones. My truck is mostly highway commuting mileage, no off road and no heavy loads. I put Bilsteins on last weekend and so far I have no complaints.
