has anyone installed a second battery under the truck ?

 

I know there was an earlier post on this, and I'm not sure where it left off. The E350 that has an optional "HD Auxilary battery" located under the side cargo door and outside of the frame rail. So I don't see why you couldn't do that for the F150. The parts dept should have all the parts from the actual battery, cables, metal box, mounting provisions and isolator. Might be cheaper aftermarket though.

There is actually a kit that will allow two Optimas to be mounted under the hood in the stock location. Check out this link.
