More on tires

Anyone running Cooper Discoverers? I've ran them for years on other trucks and have absolutely loved them. I'm looking at getting larger tires and all I've read about here are BFG ATko's.

That would be because BFG's eat Coopers lunch.

Anyone have Yoko Geolanders on their screw? I am getting new tires soon and am trying to decide between the Geolanders, the Firestone Destination LE or the BFG Long Trail T/A. Tirerack rates the yokos and the Firestones very highly for all season wet etc. I also want low noise. I do not go off road, I drive 55 miles each day on the interstate back and forth to work.

I just replaced a set of 265/75-16 Yoko Geolander AT Plus IIs on my '01 S'crew after approximately 37,000 miles of wear. Still has some usable tread, but couldn't stand the noise. I should say that they were "D" load rated (stiff sidewalls and heavy) and I didn't follow the 5,000 mile rotation advice. They were GREAT off-road and pretty quiet when I first got them, but noise increased with wear.

I may get another set for hunting use, but right now I'm really happy with the 265/75-16 Bridgestone Dueller A/T Revos that I picked up at Tirerack.com (same place as Yokos). Really quiet and I gained 3 mpg on first tank of gas with them (they are SL rated, so lighter, and are less resistent to rolling due to rubber compound diifference and tread pattern). This tire has very good reviews on Tirerack site; I've got less than 400 miles with them, so not much experience with them.

Yep. That's what is on my truck now (265/70/17). They are however at the end of their useful life: 43k miles. I find them still very well balanced, fairely quiet. Still excellent wet traction for what's left for tread. Snow traction is suffering a this point, but I would not hold that against them at this point in their life

My next set (this fall) will be the Revos
