Question 2001 SuperCrew Lariat Spec Question

Looking at buying a Ford pickup to do up 2nd or 3rd week of March. There are a couple of things I like about the King Ranch, but the color of the leather just isn't sitting right with me.

My first question about the SuperCrew Lariat is pertaining to the rear seats.

Does anyone know if it is a bench in the back, or bucket seats like the King Ranch?

The bucket seats will allow me to do more, customization wise, but I can ultimately live with the bench if I need too.

Also, any ideas on how far you would be able to drop a Supercrew Lariat 4X4 without effecting it's performance?

Since I do live in Canada having a truck with 4x4 in the winter is a must.

Any insite is appreciated.

Thanks,

Eric (KiLLeRMoJo)

Yep, Also in Canada with 4X4 Lariat Screw

I have rear 60/40 split bench that folds down to create a nice flat storage space. My '01 Lariat is a Gen III so I get the 2 Head Rests on the rear seats.

Kids car seat fits nicely. A bit of a hike for my 5 year old to climb into but he can make it.

I put a heavy towel under the car seat to protect the leather.

But I was wondering, is the back seats actually leather? I can't really tell the difference on mine.

I just got the Truck on the 3rd of March and had a quick look, but I think that on the rear bench, the seat part is leather but the backrest is not.

I may be right but I may also be wrong

Hi there, on my 01 4x4 Screw I've done a 1/2 drop by using 2'' rear drop shackles and adjusting the torsion bar down 1'' in the front. I am in the process now of removing the 2'' blocks under the rear and putting in new U bolts and shims to bring down a total of 4''. I then will adjust the torsion in front another 1'' for a total of a 2/4 drop and the truck just got 22s. Should look real good when Im done
