noise problem

I have a problem lately that seems to be stemming from my tires. I still have the factory tires on my screw....Anyways, there is a clicking sound (almost as if there were a rock stuck in the threads) but its a lot louder and deeper than that. Anyways...its definitely not an engine noise. I let a guy listen to it and he said I needed to get my tires rotated because they were beginning to get warped. Does this sound right? If that were the case would a tire rotation help or am I more than likely going to have to spring for new tires?

thanks in advance.

CoachP, Did you actually check to see if there was a rock or something stuck in the tread?
If the tires were warped enough to make a sound like that, it would also show in the steering wheel shimmy at speed.

You might get better response from the tire section.....
