Exhaust install Question?

Gibson exhaust's for the dual swept and dual straight back require removal of the spare, is this the only system that requires this? Does someone else make a system where I don't have to remove my spare for a dual exhaust? Any help would be great, trying to get one purchased as soon as possible.
Thanks

I had mine made at an exhaust shop. They do lots of them, and went around the spare with no problem.

The Borla Split Rear System doesn't require removal of the spare tire.

My wonderful DIYer hubby insisted that he could install our Gibson dual exhaust set-up - "We'll save the instal money," he said. Unbeknownst to me he had a little trouble with the spare tire (the guys at work warned him) but he thought he had the problem under control. Key word = "thought"

We were putting a couple of mods on our S'crew to help pull our toy hauler. So, first trip out we were a bit nervous, just because of the newness of towing a trailer. (Hubby is a gasoline tanker driver so he was not as nervous as me! ) We were headed up the Cajon pass (a pretty large climb close to our home here in So. Cal,) hubby stopped to "check things out." Everything seemed fine. We continued on...just as we came to the summit, I look in my side view mirror and, "Oh my God, honey, pull over, there's white smoke pouring from under the truck!"

We quickly reached the next turnout and I have never seen my hubby run so quickly as he opened the hood and grabbed the tire tool thingie. He had that tire down and away from the truck so fast it made my head spin! I gotta tell you, I laughed so hard that I thought I was gonna wet my pants! Turns out he knew exactly what was happening as soon as I yelled!

The moral of the story - My wonderful DIYer husband that can do "ANYTHING" had to take the truck to a muffler shop and they had to bend the exhaust around the spare tire area! He is rarely wrong, so this is great material for use later on!
