2004 Body Style

Front of the truck looks pretty good as does the interior, but the back end looks TERRIBLE. Got that 1999 F-150 boxy look again. Disappointing. Now a good looking 2004 truck is the Chevy Colorado. May have to give it a look.

i didnt like the boxey' look at first myself...now after i added my glasstite topper i love the way it looks....as far as that chevy colorado i cant stand the "mad pumpkin" look on all the new chevys...seems like they made that avalanch plastic truck and sold alot of them so now all their new trucks have that slanted headlight look like it did....my 2002 silverado didnt have that "pissed off pumpkin" look but was only 1/2 the truck my new f-150 is...IMO..

I didn't like it when I first saw it. I preferred the look of the 2003. Now that I see more of them, I like them more. Still prefer my 2003 KR SCrew though.

I really like the new F-150's, they are a much bigger truck than the older models, but the main thing i like about them is the luxery of the inside of the cabs. They are really nice and especially in the FX4 and Lariet ones. All i know is i for sure do not like the new Chevy Colorados.

First saw them it looked like the Caddilac pickup. They have small windows and high tail gates. Ford is going for that trendy look.

Also they seem to sit lower. Side by side with my FX4 it was much lower.

Went to look to buy one and really liked the interiors (except for the ugly ceiling rails and indent area on the dash).

Overall the look has not grown on me yet. I still really like the look of the 03 and before super-crews.

Nice truck but would not trade a 00,01,02 or 03 for it.

Dunno about the 99 model ,looks more of a pre 97 back end to me. I still prefer the 03' s'crews to the 04's ,but I did get to see acouple of fx4,s lately & they'r slightly better ...A chevy Colorado ?? Is'nt that the one that makes you feel like a woman when you get in it? . Sorry ladies , , not that theres any thing wrong with that .

not to start anything but since you guys are bashing the 04, all the 04 owners feel the 97-03 are more feminine looking, never did like the funny shaped tailights on the 01-03 screws and the shape of it's bed reminds one of a dog with a tail between his legs, hunched down. The new 04 bed is more superduty like. Just kidding they're both nice trucks, but the new 04 is the latest greatest Motor Trend Truck of the Year. The new coilover front suspension with aluminum swingarm is a way better setup than the torsion bars as well as the massive rack and pinion versus the antiquated recirculating ball. After driving the new 04 there's no going back. PS did see the new Chevy Colorado in person for the first time a few days ago and it looks alot worse in person than in the ads.Motor Trend commented the 04 F150's precise steering felt more like a midsize than the vague lumbering Colorado.
