speed related noise
Hey all, been trying to search around and get some answers, but haven't reallly gotten anywhere so I thought I'd post...
Lately I'm experiencing a slight thump, oscillating noise that varies with speed...most noticeable through 30-45mph, and can even feel it through the floorboard somewhat..
- could it be my brakes? (rotors, etc... no experience with brakes)
- could it be tires (one out of balance or something?)
I have an appointment to have the brakes checked this coming thursday so we'll see what they say.
Thanks in advance for any info/advice.

Just a thought, your noise may be related to your driveshaft as well. If you have recently had a spray-in liner installed, or underbody coating, you may have gotten some on the shaft which will definitely cause a vibration. The other thing not to overlook is the tires( I speak from experience here). If one of the cords inside the tire goes bad, it can create a nasty vibration. Anything that rotates should be checked though. Hope this helped!
maybe shock related
Buckfu
I recently brought my SuperCrew in for a knocking sound that I could feel and hear from the floorboard. It was coming in my case from the passenger front area. The Ford Tech diagnosed the problem and it was my passenger front shock RS9000x. After swapping out back to my oem shocks, the knocking sound was gone and there was a noticable difference for the better in handling and control of the truck.

thanks for the input fellas,
I had an appointment Thursday and they diagnosed it as worn tires. I had one that was worse than the others, so they rotated it to the back. It has reduced the sound/vibration considerably, but still there a little bit of course.
Just put new shocks on the other weekend (Rancho RSXs) and they have helped a great deal as well)
Time to order up those Dueler AT Revos I guess
