Diesel in an F-150!

According to one of my 4x4 mags. Ford may offer a V6 diesel in 06' in the F-150. I guess we'll see.

There had been a V6 Diesel rumor floating around about a year ago or so.... The last I had heard it was totally squashed and it wasn't going to become a reality...

I'd sure like to see it...

Yep...

Unless something has changed recently, RP is right. Baby diesel was aborted...

Seeing that the diesel is delayed, has anyone heard about any possible hybrids. The idea of getting a little better gas mileage with the help of an electric motor assist which gets battery power from energy dissipated from vehicle braking seems to have merit.

baby diesel was aborted as Navistar couldn't deliver an engine that would meet 2007 diesel emmisions restrictions.

Navistar had so much invested into the project that Ford had to reimburse them (this is in the public domain, do a Google search)

The magazine did mention that the original idea for the diesel had been dropped. Apperantly it has been brought back to life.
