Whine/Drive Shaft Replacement

Spoke with a Ford tech yesterday and was told that a TSB has been issued for replacement of the driveshaft to eliminate the whine so many have said is coming from the rear end. He stated that the shafts are aircraft quality aluminum and are not sound dampened. New design ones will be replaced to get ride of the whine. Has anyone heard of this TSB and has is worked?

Yes and to my knowledge is has not worked. When I get some time, I plan to take my rig into another dealer and see what they have to say for themselves.

Got my SC back from the dealer yesterday. This was their second attempt at correcting the whine/vibration. First time they replaced ring/pinion and bearings. Mild improvement at first, then got worse. Second attempt, replaced drive shaft with steel (or something other than aluminum), problem is worse than ever. Service adv. stated some noise is normal, and tried to blame this on my tonneau cover! It's going back for the third attempt soon.
