Question DVD location

Happy holidays to all. I have a quick question for the good of the order. I am going to be installing a flip down tv with seperate DVD. the DVD measures roughly 6.25" x 2" x 6.125". Where would/have you put yours? I wanted to stick it in that spot under the strreilg wheel but it won't fit the opening. I also wanted to avoid under the back seat. Thanks for the help.

Put Under Front Seat

If I remember correctly, I have over 2" of space under the center front seat on my 01 SCrew. It would be the perfect place to put your DVD player. It would also be OSOM (Out of Sight, Out of Mind).

Just an idea.

Thanks would you set it forward or rear. The only problem with rear facing is that a passenger could kick it.

screwed02, I had a console made a put mine in it (I have headrest and visor monitors vs a flip down screen). Look at my gallery and you can see some pictures. I didn't like the idea of having it under a seat. If its under the front seats facing the read it may get kicked. Also, if you move the seats backward or foreward you may effect being able to get to it or having it stick out. Hope this helps.

I would put it forward facing. Just for the reason you stated and easy access for you or yours to load the next movie in.

I mounted my uder the passenger side front seat facing forward. If you place it just right, it will not be kicked by back seat passnegers and regardless of how you move your seat, it is easily reached by the front. Great place b/c No one even knows it is there.

I have done a lot of the dvd install and if you have the bench seat it should fit under the center facing forward ( easiest install) or what I do alot is pull out the seat make board to fit the belly of the seat and suspend the player from this (leave enough slack in the wires ) now the player moves with the seat . hope this helps be creative and do what seems easiest to get to for you.
