Factory Tint % on Screw ?

I am trying to have my front side windows tinted the same shade/color as the factory tinted back window and door windows. Does anyone happen to know what % a 2002 Screw comes with in the back?

Your tinting store should be able to tell you how much it is tinted. If nothing else, just run it by someplace and have them take a look at it and make a recommendation.

You may want to check the Missouri State laws on window tinting too. I done a search on the internet and found several links to Missouri Window Tinting Laws. Here is one of them: http://www.autowindowtinting.com//st...tLaws_Missouri

What part of SEMO are you from? I am in Sikeston myself.

Hope at least some of this was useful.

Joseph,

Hey, thanks for all of the information. I was born and raised in Sikeston....even worked for DPS for a while. I am flying helicopters in Fort Rucker, Alabama right now. However should return home, and to my civilian job in Cape Girardeau, in Feb.

E-mail me @

turnleftto360@aol.com

I'd like to discuss my attempted tinting adventures in the SEMO area.

I had them put 20% on my front doors, matched nearly perfectly.

Take it to a reputable shop in your area, they'll have done one before and will know what's best.

Figured I'd put a final closure on this thread. I just got back from the tint shop, and ended up putting 20% on the front two windows. (They didn't have 15% to try.) And the 20% matched perfectly. Two guys in the shop could not tell the difference between the front and back, as well as about 5 guys I work with. So.......for me, and whatever type of tint they used, 20% matched the factory windows perfectly. I'll try to later update my gallery picture to reflect the change.

Thanks again to everyone who posted.....

I paid around $40.00 per window with what they called the "factory finish". It came with a lifetime warranty, and a can of window tint cleaner. And I must say, it looks great. This factory finish (where the glass stops and the tint starts on the edges of the window) looks just like the factory glass in the back. I don't really know how they did it, but you can't tell there is a film on the window. No seams, no nothing.....

Good luck on finding a good place in your area.....

I've got the front windows tinted at 20% and they are just a tad lighter than my rear factory tint windows.

Got 20 on my fronts and paid $40 total for both of them. From what I understand 20 is what the rear is done it and the only reason it looks lighter on the front is because more light gets in and goes through those windows vias the windshield.

Don't know if you want to drive to Conyers or not, but Audio Concepts on West Avenue does a great job. Can't remember what they charge??
