K&N FIPK gen 2

Hey everyone, have a quick question.

Just purchased and installed my K&N FIPK...I felt the difference when I mashed it from the stoplight. Much much better response...my question is,

around 1200 RPM I hear a slight "sucking" sound, then after 1500 it goes away slowly with each passing RPM. I know these are supposed to be louder when driving...but would that be considered normal? There are absolutely no air leaks, the assembly went exactly as described in the instructions.

It is hard to tell when driving but it sounds like it is coming from where the air filter is. Just wondering if that is what these are supposed to sound like.

Thanks!!

awesome! Glad to know that. My brother stopped by for a bit (mainly to pick up my old K&N that I don't need anymore) and I took him for a drive and had the RPMs up to about 4000 (I was in my neighborhood so I can't get too crazy). He was very impressed.

He is a normal passenger in my vehicle and he even noticed the difference. It also sounds more throaty too.

I hear that with the Magnaflow Catback exhausts it sounds even better. Maybe that will be my next enhancement to the truck.

Thanks again!

I picked mine up at Advance Auto Parts here in town. They ironically had it the cheapest I had seen. The guy in the store said they do that on purpose. Keeps locals from buying things online.

It was $228.99, plus tax. About $244.00 total.

Try this link. No guarantee this works though...
