Do you turn your a/c off well before you turn your truck off? By turning the a/c off 4-5 minutes before shutting your engine off will help dry up any condensate in your vents, etc.. Make sure you are still running the fan, just switch from "max a/c" to "vent" for a couple of min. That sour smell can be mildew or anything building up in your system. Ever since I've been informed of this my past three cars have never smelled.

I second that.

Early this summer I was smelling a mildew smell after it sat for a little while. Then someone on the boards suggested turning the AC to vent for a few minutes before shut down.

The smell has disappeared.

Thumbs up

Good advice above^^^^

I have also heard to not leave the climate control in the off position when your truck is parked. Leaving it in the vent position allows air to flow so it doesn't get stale.

A/C mildew Smell

I had the same mildew smell. I took the truck to the dealer. The replaced the pletum, and the condensor. I also had them replace the carpet as the water was dripping behind the carpet.
