Superchips Max Tuner...

Just ordered the Superchips Max Tuner (1715) for my SCrew.

It had better haul butt when I get it or I'm comin after some of y'all!

I am actually the "New" 1715 which has the 3 programs. 87, 91+ and 91+ performance. I don't know what sets the two 91+ apart but I do know that the 91+ perf is specifically stated "not for towing."

I plan on just using the 87 and maybe the 91+ when I tow the boat to the coast.

Anyone else want to post up thier findings on their tuners?

Thanks!
Chris

Just installed mine this weekend. Did not know they had a new one with the 87 octane option - with the miles I put on my truck, I wish I had that option.

OK, here are my first reviews - was a little disappointed that I could not spin the tires from a dead stop. Of course I do have 18" L look-alikes with Falken 285/60/18 - lots of rubber and heavy. Hope to lower the truck soon and put a lower profile tire on.

Out of the hole, it definitely has a little more juice, but once again, I was not yet that impressed after spending $300.

Keeping my foot to the floor, I watched the tach - I was very happy to see it shift to second around 5300-5500 rpms. I have always said that it shifted too early in first gear.

Second gear has always seemed to be much stronger than first in my truck. Now it is even stronger!!! When it shifted to second, it was like I had just hit the NOS button!! No, the tires didn't spin, but the guy driving the Silverado that was on my tail got a funny look on his face when I just flat out left him

Truck kept pulling and pulling until the needle passed the 100+ mark (much quicker than it used to). I pushed it a little harder to where I thought the factory limiter was, but never reached it. (DISCLAIMER: I was on the expressway with no other vehicles around, so the only life I was putting at risk was my own)

Overall I am happy with this mod. Shift points are much better. Truck overall feels stronger. Getting to the higher MPH is much easier. In fact, there were a few times that I would be running 65-70 mph and think I was doing 50-55.

First tank of gas with the tuner I got a little over 12mph. This did include hotdoggin' quite a bit and towing a trailer for part of it. I need to go in and do the tire height adjustment to correct the odometer and I think I will see better gas mileage.

I'm thinking about getting this New 1715. I was not planning to get this now but the group buy price on the other site and the new option to run the 87 is the selling point for me. I would be intereated to know about the finding of this new tuner

I did the intake and micro tuner mod at the same time, a noticeble difference with the both.

Like lightningcrew said, I still can't spin the tires from a stand still, but getting close.

That what I wanted to do AF1 and Magnaflow first but this Micro Turner is good deal so I might just have to get this first. How much different do you notice with all the mods you have. Are you running 87 or 91 oct.?

Wait till you try the truck out when its 60 degrees or cooler.

When its 70 and up, my truck wont light em up either. Give me 60 degress or cooler, and Ill rip em up.

Chris, glad to see you got in on the deal, just finished the e-fan install 2 days ago, mounts were a pain but was well worth the end result.

Now just like you, i'm waiting on the new tuner to ship!!
