Engine break-IN

How should I break this truck in?
Run it hard?
Take it easy?

In the past I've run new trucks/engines hard from the start and just tried not to hold constant speeds for long periods of time. Is this OK with the NA 5.4?? In my Lightning I ran the crapp out of it from day one until about 18K. Then after adding all of the mods I started taking it easy one her. Never had a problem and it had near 50k when I sold it. I know thats not that many miles but I have friends that did the same and now have 75k pluss.....but then again I also have friends that nuked theirs Well any suggestions I really like this truck

If you only plan on owning a vehicle to put 50-75k miles on it, I would say it doesn't matter a whole lot as long as you change the oil regularly.

I break in my engines easy for 1000 miles, change the oil, then progressively turn up the engine speeds.

I concur. Be nice to your truck! Break it in gently, it can't hurt.
