No doubt about that! If you are ever back this way, give me a shout and maybe we can hook up for a ride! Thanks again for the info!

I did pretty much the same as Serotta, used a 4x4 fence post and Yakima cam-lock fork holder. Used carriage bolts. Used the Yakima front wheel holder from my old roof-mount system and bolted that to the 4x4 as well. Works pretty well, BUT I have a bedrug, and where the rear tire rests on the bedrug floor it has formed a depression that won't go away. The pressure of the small contact spot (road bike = very thin tires) and the 20lb bike is enough to cause the depression. I think the bedrug backing flowed out from under the pressure point.

I also strung a cable through the bed tie down and the frame with a lock to discourage the casual thief.
4X4 fence post, talk about overkill! Bet you couldn't bow that rack with a heavy tandem. My friend has a bedrug, and uses a piece of plywood under the tires. The cable and lock are a good idea. Better than searching for a parking place within shooting distance of wherever we stop to eat.

I bought a couple Thule fork mounts, attached them to a piece of particle board and store the bikes INSIDE the TT. It works really well.
