I talked to Gary at fordpartsonline.com, he said the Cabin filter kit is no longer available. The part number that is on this post is for a Navigator. With no picture of what the part is, I don't know if it will work. Looking under the dash with a mirror there are 5 unused screw holes. Three lined up, then a slot, with two more screw holes on the other side of the slot. Does anyone have a Navigator they could look at?

I believe they are one and the same. Instructions say Navigator/F150.

RockPick I did a search with lost pups link and flscrew's numbers
and found an arizona beige plug. the number is Xl3Z-17D754-AAA

I'm going to try and get my local dealer to track both the kit and the plug down for me!

UPS but they left it outside my steps in a plastic bag but it got wet. Everything is fine inside. The dealer sold it to me but not from his stock - he obtained from another dealer. He did offer an apology that he would have to charge slightly more to aquire it from another source. I did not haggle but thanked him for finding it.

I hope to take pics to display the product and the install as well.

It is called KIDS time. Our 5,3 and 1 year old are keeping me active this summer. They tend to always want to "help" and follow or find me wherever I sneak off to the garage.

Maybe today - we'll see - you know a good Dad answer.

Lost Pup,
Did you ever install the filtration kit. I realize it was a year ago but I just joined the forum today. I have contacted my local Ford Dealer and they say the kit has been discontinued. None available anywhere in the country. Does it really make a difference? I will try my local Ford swap meets if it does.

Thanks,

Sorry guys I lost tract of the thread.

I did install it in my o2 Supercrew. It took a collective 2 hours with most of the time spent looking for the correct tool to cut the slot in the factory plenum. I used a sturdy hunting knife to cut the plenum slot out and then some time with a wood file to clean up the plastic edges.
A tough position to work in but doable.

And just to dig it up AGAIN.... I got interested in getting one to, so I started looking. I found it here for $57 + tax and S&H.

if anyone is interested. There is a dealer 40 minutes from me that might have one on his shelf. I am gonna call tomorrow and see if he does and if so, how much.

If I order, I will take some pics to show the rest of you
