What's that noise?????
For the past several weeks I was having this knocking noise like something rolling around in the bed. You know, you brake it goes clunk, you then take off and it goes clunk.. It was driving me insane.
So today I started snooping around, driving down my street with the windows down, stop go, stop go, clunk, clunk, clunk. I new the noise was behind me so started to check things out and then I remembered that the only work done on my truck was new tires, so I check the lug nuts, no problem, check the spair, no problem. Then it hits me, the jack and tire iron behind the back passenger seat. Turns out the jack was not extended enough and it was moving around and banging up against the bed etc.. making the noise. I tighten it up, put in the tire iron properly and take it for a test drive.
NO MORE NOISE, YEA!!!!!!!
Always a good feeling when you track down and fix a problem.
Wonder if the dealer would of found it if I took it in.
