Question Good deal or not?

Before I ask my question, just wanted everyone to know that this forum is fantastic. There is more knowledge on this forum than one could ever imagine. Given that, I am looking at a 2003 4X4 Lariat Screw with the following options: 5.4L, captains chairs, heated seats, moon roof, power rear window, class III trailer tow, 3.73 LS, in-dash CD changer, two-tone paint. The dealership, after $2500 rebate, has offered it to me at $30,250. Is this a good deal or are there better deals out there? Any help and guidance is greatly appreciated.

On Edmunds it shows MSRP at about $38,400 and purchase around $34,050. It sounds like a good deal.

don't know if this will help, but CoachP asked about payment options a few days ago. Below is a link to that thread. Some of the guys gave a detailed list of options and the price of their trucks and the payments.

That is a good price. I priced out a 2003 truck with those similar options on my x-plan. It came out to roughly $32,500 excluding rebate and plus taxes. So with the $2500 rebate, your right in the x-plan ballpark. I don't know if there are any geographical influences, but I live in Sacramento, Ca. I don't know if that affects the price at all.

I decided to stick with my current 2002 Screw.

The local Ford conglomerate (Ford of Tulsa) has been advertising $6000 off of MSRP (after $2500 rebate) recently. The ad specifies only "'03 F-150 Supercrew" as if it applies to all SuperCrews. I don't know what the MSRP of the pickup you're looking at is, but you might already be under that. Anyway, just a reference.

If it's not a demo, that's a good price. Especially with those options.

Looks good. Local dealers are about $8k off of MSRP right now (rebate included). If you qualify for RCL rebate that's another $500.

One other point to consider is Fords $500 rebate for being a military veteran. I was $500 away from making a deal when the sales manager brought this rebate up. All I had to do was bring in my discharge certificate. The only question I had was, why didn't they ask that question in the very begining...
