Weld wheel's are on and...

Well I finally put my 17x8 Weld Sidewinder's on with my 285/70/17 BFG's. I am really happy with the look and was pretty stressed out about doing some minor trimming, but that was a peice of cake too. You ca't even tell about the trimming unless you know what your looking for.

I am playing around with the t-bar adjusting, because I was a little to high in front so I'm dropping it a half turn at a time until I hit the comfort zone/look I like. (slightly lower in the front)

Then I will put on my new shock's (I think Edelbrock IAS) get an alignment & it will be all done.

I have the "Heavy duty" so called shock's that come with the trailer tow package and had a chance to do some snowbound heavy off-roading & pounding the hell out of my truck and that kind of affirmed to me that the factory shock's suck BAD !!

When it get's nicer out I'll try to post some pic's of the truck & the Stang GT convert together.

Alright FallScrew!!! I'm glad to hear the wheels and tires are working out. Can't wait to see the pics. I'm still trying to figure out what my new setup will be.

Fallscrew,
Just FYI for ya...I have my bars cranked up as far as they will go and have the IAS's and simply love it. I cranked the bars full up from day one and didnt' get my shocks until about 8,000 miles so had plenty of time to learn the difference. Well, needless to say, even with the bars up I couldn't believe how huge of a difference those shocks made over the factory ones. Which were literally brand new. If you like the looks of the truck with the bars up, I would say leave it...But like I said, just my opinion. Personally, I really wish I could get about another 1 1/2" out of the front for it to be perfect for my taste.

Galaxy, Thank's for the tip on the Edelbrock IAS shock's.

It really made that big of a difference in ride quality ?
Harder or softer ?

Uuuummmmm, kinda hard to explain. I think 'steady' would be a better word. It's firm, but not hard. Very stable on the highway and in curves and turns but yet it doesn't beat up your kidneys on bumbs at all...Does that make sense??? Very big improvement, you wont be dissapointed at all. I found it hard to believe that I could tell a difference after replacing them on a brand new vehicle, but I could.
