Which FIPK for SCREW?

Currently, there have been many new products of FIPKs with new types of designs, such a "cold air intake." I'm thinking of replacing my stock intake w/ K&N drop-in with a new one (if it's worth it)

Any recommendations?

a. K&N Gen II?
b. Airraid?
c. Air Force I?
d. Brute Force?
e. Volant open air element?
f. Volant Cold air kit?
g. MAC FIPK?
h. Iceman Cold Air kit?
i. Poor man's Intake (modified stock box)?
j. Leave it as it is?
k. other?

I vote for the AirForce 1. I've loved mine.

Iceman!

I have to vote for the Iceman. I have it in with my flowmaster and the performance can't be beat. I had an AirForce One on before, but the Iceman beats it hands down.

Just my thoughts...

How 'bout a double answer. If you want the best for the least $$$, the MAC unit is a pretty good deal. If you want the best regardless of price, go Air Force 1. I have two friends who both run this unit and they both love it. Take care.

Yeah the AirForce I is pretty, but MAC is like a replica of it and alot cheaper. I know that the metal intakes get really hot (hot to touch, ouch!) during bumper-to-bumper traffic, does that excess heat degrade the performance considerably?

I think I'm gonna go with the MAC intake since it's C.A.R.B. certified and ready to go. The cost is only 149.95 and their dyno test results showed significant gains. Can anyone change my mind?

If you're really curious about the 'heat' issue, look up SSCULLY and let him fill you in on the real world testing he's done on this very issue. I found his test results very interesting when I was researching which intake to get. Good luck.
