Talking 6 Disc in dash

Well I installed my 03 6 disc indash CD changer on Sunday. Pretty nice feature, not having to go behind the seat to change discs. The real sweet deal is that I left my old changer in the rear and it works with the new stereo! Now I have a 12 disc changer. ---Paul

Attempting to do the same deal with the Lightning; dump the crappy cassette player (what's a cassette?) for the 6 CD in-dash changer and control the rear CD changer, too.

Got a changer from a guy on this board (from a 2003 Supercrew) that is SUPPOSED to work...looks mint, but my L is in storage and it;s not convenient for me to test it yet.

Any idea what part # your new head unit was?

jaymz- I dont know the P/N but I can let ya know its not a direct replacement. At least not on my 02 Screw it wasn't. There is alot of plastic webbing(supports) that needs to be trimmed for the unit to fit in. I removed the upper dash that goes over the intrument panel along with the panel that is arond the radio. This gives you a nice clean shot at the webbing. A ittle bit of "clearancing" and then it fits right in. Good luck---Paul
