Iceman for $169?

Someone on the list had posted that they had paid $169 for the Iceman intake kit. The best I have found so far is $189. Where can this be bought cheaper?

Thanks.

Rex,

Drop me an email in my profile.

T/B elbow only has 200 miles on it ( cleaned it out ) , never used filter, or the Airbox parts ( still in factory wrap )

FIPK testing is what I used it for, on an open filter to test with the horn vs the K&N type tube.

Got this testing done, it is no different then the K&N elbow, so I figure I'd put the whole Iceman kit back together and get rid of it

Steve, did you post the results of your testing somewhere?

I've been interested in seeing if there is any difference with the various FIPK kits vs opening up the stock setup a little more (adding a K&N & modifying the snorkle, etc).

Griffin,

The testing I was doing was from a post another memeber did on how this shape elbow would produce better results then the K&N elbow, so I wanted to start with some basic testing using AutoTap and MAFS flow rates.

The Flow rate between the K&N elbow and the Iceman elbow were almost identical, so I was not going to waste a dyno pull on it, to see if the HP changed at all, maybe it did, but it cannot be by that much if at all due to the horn shape of the tube.
Iceman and Roush are the only ones that I have seen with this type elbow, and both are designed to work with the stock air box.

I have piles of AutoTap logs, if you want them, but they show the Flow rate vs RPM & Engine Speed.

If you are interested in this let me know. Rex already ordered one yesterday. If not I'm putting it in the classified section.

Drop me an email in my profile.

Sorry I don't have much more info on the Iceman, but the testing I have is not using the stock air box.

Thanks Steve....

Now I understand the context in which you made you earlier post

Right now I still can justify the cost of the various FIPK kits, especially the Iceman...... Just seems like ~$180 is kind of steep for what ya get.
