Question SuperCrew Transmission Question

I have a 2002 FX4 Supercrew/5.4 liter with only 9900 miles - my wife claims ownership, but that's another story. Over the past two months I have begun to notice a vibration from the steering wheel and gas pedal while accelerating. The vibration only occurs between 43 - 47 mph and around 1650 rpms. I took it to the dealer for an oil change, free tire rotation/balance and asked them to check on the vibration. The technician that did the basic work noted the vibration, which was not resolved after the tire rotation and balance. The transmission "expert" was then called and his response was that this is normal. The Service Team Leader explained this to me and I told her that I did not believe this was normal, as it doesn't occur at any other gear change. I relented and said that if it continued, I would bring it back. Does this sound "normal" to anyone? Thanks in advance for any feedback.

vibration

sounds like it might be a driveshaft prob. to me but then again there are alot of vibrations that are considered normal by ford moto co. vibrations seems to be a weakness or a least in my opinion, in ford qulaity, as that seem to be something i have to deal with regulary. ( PS, i own 6 fords) try getting another opinion.

Danny - thanks for the reply. With 6 Fords, Ford should be giving you a free car. One of the dealership managers lives in my neighborhood, so I'll bring up the driveshaft as a possibility. I had a 6 cyl Ranger Supercab before this one, but it was a 5 speed, so I didn't notice any unusual vibrations. I'll keep on top of them, or like you said I'll take it somewhere else. I love the truck, but don't want it to have a major repair post warranty. Thanks again.
