Mine work fine . . .

on the freeway and even through car washes that use really high velocity air to blow the vehicles dry.

I replaced the whole wiper assemby, but did not get the rubber encased winter version.

Just a thought,

Tom

I just picked up and installed a set of 22" blades. The package label is TRIDON; METAL BLADE; 22"; Wiper Pack. The scan number is 27998 30222. I paid $9.99 for them at BJ'S Wholesale club. This was a twin pak with both blades and it included spare refills for later on. They are identical to the OEM Blades, if they hadn't been longer I couldn't told them apart.

If that crap weren't colored, I would use it. It left stains on my wiper cowl and made nasty spot on the paint after I had just washed it. I have now converted back to plain water in the washer reservoir.

So have you tried them out yet? Do you like the results?

Teflon Trico brand

Hi Welfare Wagon,

The Teflon Trico brand is what I got and I'm happy with them. I got not just a refill blade, but the whole replacement assembly. You know, the one that attaches to the wiper arm. I'm really pleased with mine.

The reason I did this was when you sat in the passenger seat and looked out the window in the rain you looked right through the upper line where the wiper removed the water off the windshield. After you replace them with 22" blades I think you will love the big open veiwable area.

My truck is in the sun almost all the time, has never seen a garage (too big) and we get like 3" of rain a year!

How often should the blades be repaced? When they start streaking, every so many months or what?

Dcovell,

I was always told to replace them every six months. Whether or not that is overkill I am not sure. For me it usually depends on useage and when they really start to suck.

It usually seems to be about once per year.

Hope this helps,

Jim

Thumbs up

I went with 24" on the driver side and 22" on the passenger. Used Bosch MicroEdge Excell (all natural rubber). GREAT squeegee with every swipe! Same blades that Mercedes Benz uses.

I Put my 22 inch blades on today and I must say they are great it fits like it should have been done at assembly. I went with the extra $$ and bought the teflon blades. Great mod!

THall,

The pictures on your post. Are those the 22" blades? Just trying to see how close they come to the edge of the windshield. You wouldn't have any pics up close would you?

Thanks
