A garage.... .

Just kidding. I feel your pain. I used to have a Mustang GT, and it was broken into about 4 times. One time I was on vacation and had about $500 worth of camping gear taken. My Cherokee was broken into once as well.

The fact is, any car isn't hard to get into if somebody wants in that bad. Almost every time my car was broken into, they just smashed the window. Where I used to live in Portland, OR, it was so bad that people started putting stickers on their cars that said "There is nothing of value in this car!".

As for alarms, it might help, but think about how many alarms you hear going off. Their so common now that hardly anybody pays attention to them. Also, most later model fords have an alarm, and the Secure Theft key (chip in the key).

The best advice I can give is NEVER EVER leave anything in your car. If you have a nice stereo system, try to camoflage it as best you can.

Again, sorry to hear about your trouble. It sucks to feel like you've been violated.

I agree with SLCScrew, don't leave anything valuable especially if it's visible.

Alarms are just anoying in my opinion and for the most part are ignored.

A stereo system is one of the biggest reasons for breaking in. As far as physically protecting your truck, there is no real way to keep a theif out without running 10,000 volts though the door handles and have a toxic gas release system if they manage to get past that.

Can you get me the Ford part number, I'm having trouble getting my dealer to find it?

Ditto.

The best theft system I ever saw was in a James Bond film were they showed the sticker and the guy broke in and it looked like there was 500lbs of C-4 in the car
