Is the Ford Bugshield any good? I didn't have one on my 2001 Super Crew, but want to install a sheild on my '03. I wish to use the holes provided in the hood only, not to drill new ones and the Ford shield is the only one I know of that your don't have to drill or use tape. I don't like the idea of "taping" a shield on. Thanks for the info!

 

I put a Lund bugshield on my S'Crew without adding any holes or taping. However, I have a 2001 S'Crew not a 2003 so I don't know if there are any differences. Hope this helps! :-)

I tried to get the ford one, but wanted the bug shield clear not smoke. They couldn't get a ford one, but ordered me a Lund Clear. No problem with install, fit perfect into the holes on the hood. I don't know if the help to keep the bugs off the windshield cause I still have a lot on it every summer. But maybe it is less??? I don't know.

I believe that it is the Lund Intercepter. The shield extends past the hood and wraps around to the sides of the truck.

I have a Ford OEM one and have never had a bug hit my winshield on the I-state. Ever.
