Soft Tonneau

I'm thinking of putting a soft tonneau on my Screw. I would like to see pics of one installed. Can you guys post some pics or direct me to your gallery if you have any there. Thanks.

This is my Extang Platinum cover, I have been thinking about selling it if someone is interested and the price is right. I have had it since Christmas day so its not too old. I love the cover but with my line of work it is very seldom on the truck. Email me or post here if interested

Is the Extang water tight?

In a downpour yes its dry but in the carwash with the high pressues water jets it leaks a little around the tailgate and cab wall but you could spit more the what gets in

Thumbs up Thanks for the info!

I'm interested in getting a Extang Tuff Tonno III. It's the same as yours, only it has the pop on seal vs. the snaps. I think the III looks good, but not sure about the seal being water tight? Does anyone have a Tuff Tonno III on their SC? Thanks again!

I had the snapless on an S-10 years ago the only problem I had was in warm weather the tarp would expand and would come unlatched from the chanel and there was no way to make the tarp tighter in hot weather, Im not saying that its bad they may have changed since 1997 when I had my last one of that style, so far I am happy with the snaps and they are adjustable from summer to winter mode for expansion of the tarp

You have a point there about the weather. Humm. Are the snaps on your Extang metal or that "space age" plastic material? I'm going to go with a color matched cover and if I go with snaps, they're also color matched. Thanks for the info!

I dont work for NASA so they must be good old fashion metal as far as I can tell. The bars and support bows are made from aluminum. I thought the snaps would be harder then they look before I bought it but after now I think the snaps are fine, its still a little tuff to pull and snap in cold weather but your going to get that on any tarp

Thanks agin for the info! I just received the color swatches from Extang in the mail today. The medium gray looks to be a good match for the dark shadow gray my SC will be. Now, to get snaps or not?.....

I have seen older "snapless" tonneau's that the plastic piece that has a "lip" to hold the cover on gets brittle and cracks and breaks... May not be the case with the newer "snapless" covers...

The non-snap covers look better, but I'm not sure they will last?! Anyone have Extang TuffTonno III and would care to comment?

Here's a pic of my Sportmasters. Also had an Extang, for 24 hours, and sent it back. For my money the Sportmasters is a much better product.

Good luck with your decision.

Thanks for all the info! Where did you get the Sportmasters? do they offer colors like the Extang?
