This may be very easily obtainable but, this is the first time I've ever come across something that provides so much data concerning TSBs on ANY vehicle out there...
I have access to TSB information on any vehicle on the market (including many 2003 models).
If you are interested in obtaining this information, simply drop me an email with the make, model, and year of the vehicle (trucks, cars, vans, etc) and I'll respond with the information. As most all of you know, the TSB isn't a 'fix' for a problem on a vehicle but, it is a sure fire starting point to a specific problem. I'm not able to elaborate on any of the data that I've printed above but, if you walk into your stealership armed with this information, they may be able to better diagnose a problem that you may be having.
The Tranny thunk is one of the biggest problems going for our SCREWS... hence, it is listed. The TSB is 01-13-7.
Also, keep in mind that all of the recalls are listed however; you're particular vehicle MAY NOT BE LISTED OR INCLUDED IN THE RECALL. The best way to determine if you're in a recall situation is to call the Ford Customer Care number and you can find that on Ford's website.

I have access to AllData and checked that tsb. That particular tsb is not what you guys have mentioned. This is regards to a 2 to 1 downshift. That notice is from 7/09/01.
Here is a partial copy of it-the full tsb is way to long.

ISSUE
Some vehicles equipped with a 4R70W automatic transmission may exhibit a "clunk" noise during the 2-1 downshift event. The "clunk" noise will be consistent in nature, and will occur during most 2-1 downshifts. This may be caused by a Planet Support Spring that is out of position.
ACTION
Check for the correct installation of the Planet Support Spring. If the spring is not installed correctly, the Planetary Gear Support will make contact with the transmission case during the 2-1 downshift, causing the "clunk" noise. Refer to the following Service Procedure for details.

That sounds like it to me. I think I will make an appointment to have this fixed before my 36000 warrently runs out.
Im just over 30k now and am due for a transmission check-up. But this sounds like it could be expensive to have done out of warrenty.
I know they can't give me a bad time about the computer chip, but I should take it out anyways to avoid any moron that will come up with any excuse not to do the work.

You can get a list of the TSB and recalls for any particular vehicle at www.nhtsa.com (the national highway and transportation safety agency). For a very few of the TSBs, they include a pdf of the entire TSB, but it's very rare. Still doesn't hurt though to check this once in a while. When I ran the 2003 F-150 just now, the only one that came up was for moaning in the rear brakes at slow speed stops. Haven't heard of anyone complaining of that yet on this site.

My transmitter worked from almost 30 yards away when it was new and the range has definatly gone down over time. I have had it now for over a year and 4 months. I think I will put a new battery in the remote soon. Also if I am in an area with lots of TV/radio transmitters around the remote sometimes won't work at all even standing right next to the truck.
Hey, funny thing, one of the salesmen at the dealership who used to work at a large dealership told me this one. To get your keyless entry to work from further away, hold the keyless entry fob under your chin (touching your chin). It really does increase the distance. I have seen mine work from 75 yards away.... not sure what makes it work better......

Im having the same problem as Welfare Wagon with my keyless entry. Is this normal for everyone ? Its almost useless!!
