Should I trade....
Should I trade for a S'Crew....
Should I trade my 2002 F150 SuperCab (see signature) in on a Super Crew?
I love the current body style and I am scared of the 2004 from what I have seen. Dealer is confident that, given the rebates and package savings I got at purchase, I will not loose a dime on my truck and will probably come out ahead.
When I bought it, I wanted a Super Crew but couldn't justify the extra money in my mind. Now, I am hauling more people in my truck than I ever dreamed possible and need the back seat more!
I have scoured the internet and found two contenders to become my S'Crew but I need some motivation one way or the other.
The only accessory I have that won't migrate to the new S'Crew would be a bed liner... but I wanted a BedRug anyway so this seems like a good excuse

For me it was a no brainer choice. But, I did research before I went with the Supercrew. I needed the back seat. I needed the towing capacity (FX4 w/towing pkg). I could sacrifice a little bed length.
So, far the SCrew has handled everything I've thrown at it. Towing, hauling, passengers, everything.
Your mileage may vary, but if I didn't take a financial bath in the deal, I'd get the SCrew.

I love my Screw but....
If I had it to do over again I'd go with the full 4 doors but also go with more load carrying capacity and get a F250 Crew Cab 4X4 with either the 5.4 or more likely the diesel. I say that because I've found that you really can't have too much truck (I use my 93 Camry for a daily driver cuz I commute 45 miles one way daily and the damn thing just won't die) and because I use the 4 doors and full back seat all the time......just like you said.
I know there's a money issue but, hey, you only live once !!!!!!
Get a big truck and be happy !!!!!!

I just traded my 01 supercab in on a Screw last Sunday and my payment only changed 50 bucks which is not bad considering I went up about $12000.00 in truck. The dealer is offering some rebates but hold firm on what you can afford and they should come down to your price, after all its the end of the year and they need to move as much inventory as they can by December 31 so now would be a good time to buy. I forgot to mention My trade in was only 18 months into a 60 month lease and they paid it off in full. I didnt have to give any money out to buy my new truck even though the dealer kept coming back and saying oh just a $1000.00 and we can do it. Keyword hold firm on your price or walk away I think they will deal with you. Good Luck
I traded a 2000 HD for a 2002 HD back in September. I still had a year left on the lease but they took it back without any penalty. At first they wanted $5000 CDN down but I kept shacking my head until it was down to $500 down and only $20 more a month then the 2000. As far as having a supercrew over the supercab I must say I love the extra seating capacity. I never used to take a lot off people because nobody really wanted to sit in the back of the Truck. I no longer have that problem. The supercrew also handles much better.

Every year, the first weekend in January I take a trip, one hour each way, with three friends. Every year I watch for snow in hopes we have a need to take the truck, but it never worked out that way.
This year we took the trip in the Screw with no sign of snow in the air or on the ground. This year for the holidays my whole family hopped in the truck to go to Grandma's house.
For me, that's what it's all about. I don't want to drive any other vehicle, I don't want to ride in any other vechile. I want to take the truck.
You lose some box, but you gain inside storage in the back seat.

Before I purchased my SuperCrew I looked at the supercab trucks. I couldn't see any normal sized adult sitting in the back space in the supercab. By the way Ford called the space behind the front seat in the supercab a "back seat". Anyway's If the money is right then get the Screw with the 5.4 liter. Hope this helps.
