Since the Gas Guzzlers got such a rave review when posted here I figured what the hay, here's the top 10 mizers

Other small cars make up the rest of the list. Here are the top ten fuel-efficient models as listed in MSN Autos, based on EPA data: City/Hwy/Combined
Honda Insight 61/68/64 mpg
Toyota Prius 52/45/48 mpg
Honda Civic Hybrid 46/51/48 mpg
Volkswagen Jetta Wagon TDI 42/50/45 mpg
VW New Beetle TDI 42/49/45 mpg
Volkswagen Golf TDI 42/49/45 mpg
Volkswagen Jetta TDI 42/49/45 mpg
Toyota ECHO 35/43/38 mpg
Toyota Corolla 32/40/35 mpg
MINI Cooper 28/40/32 mpg

Merry Christmas to all!!

Great news for the EPA but,

I hear they bounce off F-150 bumpers rather easily.

Agreed. But I doubt my buddy's Mini race car gets that kind of mileage. But who cares, it's a blast to drive.

I've driven a 5sp Echo, It was alright. But I'd rather ride a moped than ride around in one of those.

Don't most of these fit in the SCrew's bed ? Of course you might have to use the bed extender.....
I see many of these things on the commute every morning. If you want a sobering thought, look where your bumper and headlights line up against these cars next time your on the road. Yep...right about the drivers eye level. The thought that my head would be at the level of other folks bumpers is enough to convince me not to drive one of these death traps.

I don't think that the version of the Cooper posted in that list was the "S". I don't think the supercharged version does quite that well.

ok, i love trucks as much as the rest of you but if you want to talk safety due to oversized bumpers lets talk mercedes unimog, it has more ground clearance than a hummer and will roll over any light duty pickup. damn, i want one. we have one on camp pendleton that has a liscense plate surround that says i eat hummers and s..t jeeps. on the mizer front i also own a jetta tdi and average about 50mpg all while paying less for fuel because it's a diesel which is really nice in that i commute 110 miles a day saving me a huge amount of money.

F! that unimog! Check out the MAXIMOG. Ugly as sh*t, but this sucker can go anywhere and do anything with style, comfort and amenities most 4 star hotels don't have.

www.maximog.com

go to the specifications section
