RockPick, the guy mentions that they have no bumper on the bottom like the originals, so that might be why they aren't listed on the schematic.
I just installed an extender on my SCrew. I did it like it was shown in the link bdmofo provided. I ordered two of each:

SPO W707381 S900 SC&WSHR M10X30 TOR S
SPO 1L5Z 99286B23 BA SUPT CORN TUB P/U BO

My total for parts was 38.92 plus tax.

The first two parts are self threading screws that you screw into the bed of the truck. The second are two more plastic supports, just like the ones on the extender, without the rubber ends.

I had trouble with the self threading screws, so I used a 3/8 - 16 tap just to get a straight thread started. Then I used a T47 torq wrench to screw the two mounting posts to the side of the bed.

Then I put mounted the two extra plastic supports to the extender about an inch from the end, with the long down. The long end is on the bottom of the extender when the clip opening is facing up.
The long end faces the same direction as the first closest plastic post.

Granted, with the right tools you can remove the new supports, but with the right tools you could disassemble the whole bed extender even if it had a cable and lock on it.

It looks stock, and I could not get the extender off when in the locked position.

Thanks for the link and the advice.

I'm not worried about mine. It never gets used, and just sits in my garage. What a waste of money.

I'll tell you, they're a b*tch to ship but, if you don't mind breaking it down into pieces, it's not that big of a deal. The guy that I bought mine from (from Louisiana) had to disassemble the entire thing to get it to be small enough so that he didn't have to ship it 'freight'.

With him being in Ohio, maybe you two could meet up somewhere 'half-way' to avoid dishing out the bucks to FedEx or UPS.

Just a thought...

Mine was shipped in one pice UPS ground 14 lbs. I paid $60 for shipping. It had a plastic FedEX tag wrapped around it with a UPS sticker on the tag.
I saw one seller that would send it on a bus, but you had to pick it up at the bus station. That was $30.
