C R Laurence Power Slider

Has anyone added a CRL power slider to the Screw and if so how do you like it (ie) fit, finish and operation of slider. I am considering one and wanted some opinions

Hey Welfare... Hrrm, you look familar... do I know you? LOL!!

Seriously though, there are several folks that have them on here... you might want to email dufunnel as I know he has one and he did the install himself.

Good luck man...

When is the next KY meet?

Thumbs up Do the slider!

Ordered a CRL power slider through an auto glass dealer, and had him install it about a year ago. Very clean & tight fit. Smooth operation....I use it all the time.

Fyr,

If you don't mind us asking, how much did you sink into it... installation and all?

Yeah Rock Pick its me, as far as a chapter meet I dont know. I just bought a new Screw last sunday and had planned to put in a CRL slider in my old truck but now plan to put it in my new one. As far as price I dont know because KY state law has to replace your glass at no charge if you have full coverage insurance ( see what I mean) One of my Tenants is a glass shop and reccomended the CRL to me I just wanted some opinions on its quality

I am very happy with mine. No problems with it since I installed it a little over a year ago. Only about an hour install. The directions were some of the best Ford directions I have ever seen.

I have one of them in my '97; great accessory for a supercab, as it's impossible to safely reach back there to open the stock slider when you're driving.

The problem I have with mine is that in warm weather, it seems to stick or bind when opening, and I have to help it along. It closes just fine.

I haven't gotten around to really looking at it; wonder if the mfg. has a web site and actually replies to customer support inquiries?

Anyone with similar problem and solution is welcome to chime in.

LMAO... are you saying that you're going to take advantage of the Kentucky laws?!? Surely not...

Actually, it seems like you were the one that told me that you had taken a hammer wrapped in a t-shirt to your glass once or twice because of a couple of chips in your glass?!

Hey dufunnel, how much did you sink into that slider? I've been thinking about that mod for quite some time now but, I haven't taken the plunge. I'm still pretty interested in it...

Did you sell your stock glass or just hang on to it? I wonder if the price of the CR slider is dropping because of the body change for 04' like some of the other accessories are doing... anyone seen?

I think I paid about $250 for it. I got it from oemfordparts.com. I sold my old manual slider. I have used it a lot, but would use it more if I didn't have a top on the back.
