Hey Overtaxed,
Thanks!!! I kept looking at the schrader valve going how is this going to fit. Your picture says it all. Did you have to use liquid teflon or tape on the 1/16" npt male that goes into the fuel rail?

I don't use Teflon tape with gasoline, you will see it break down over time. I use Blue Block pipe dope which is resistent to all oils and can be found at "The Box" Home Depot

To release the pressure, I unplug the fuel pump inertial switch plug in the passenger footwell and then run the truck until it dies. That way you know there is no pressure. When you are done, do up the connector and fire it up.

With the truck shut off, the pressure in the system stays at 30-40psi if you don't bleed it down. I wouldn't mess with it.

These little tips are getting very good! Now were exactly is that
inertial valve plug -- inside the cab (passenger foot well) or under
the hood on the firewall somewhere on the passenger side down
low? What does it look like?

Thanks all for the needed info.
I ordered the Isolater seperately from the mechanical fuel pressure gauge. I am assuming that it is to isolate the fuel and possible fumes outside the truck!

Got my boost gauge up and running (thanks Derek)
Installed it into the area next to the steering column.

Thanks all....

Late.
