Magnacharger?
Hi *****, I have been running 7 lbs since last Friday and I can never go back to 4.9! No problems at all to report. I have about 10,000 miles on the Magnacharger and have only had to tighten a intercooler hose clamp so far. Have you had any slippage problems with your smaller pulley. Mine is not slipping at all and looks like it came with the blower except that it is Billet. I will be testing a 9 lb pulley soon and will report my findings. Take Care!
*****, you might be right on that bet! I will pick up the 9 lb pulley on Friday and run some test with it. Right now I am having traction problems! Last night from a light, I left smoothly and started pushing it down after I was rolling and broke the tires loose. Never done that before! I can sit in the street without my foot on the brake and nail it wide open and the tires don't bite and infact the rpm just climbs until I get out of it. I hope to run the 1/4 tonight with the 7 lb pulley. More later......
Flats Man,
I had to upgrade my tires in order to get traction. I also went to a limited slip rear end which really helps. I'm trying to get my hands on the tallest winter tire I can right now in order to de-torque as much as I can in the snow. Things can get pretty squirrely!
Obviously not a problem in Florida.
I see your also in the aviation industry?

I just retired two years early. 38 years of flying was enough, especially today! Are we the only two guys with non stock blower pulleys on a Magnacharger? We must be cutting edge or something! Let's keep in touch on how our trucks are running. Drop me an e-mail any time and I will do the same! Happy landings!
Towing?
Hey *****;
I would like to get your comments on towing with your magnacharger. I have been looking at getting one to help with towing my trailer.
Since I only tow about 10% of the time, I don't want to get a bigger truck, but another hundred foot-pounds would be sweet!

Hey Ian,
You won't be disappointed.
I live in a hilly area and usually tow around 5 or 6000lbs. with no trouble.
I once towed 13,000lbs. through the mountains of Virginia for 600 miles which I know was dumb and I'll never do it again as it was too much weight. But she pulled it with no ill effects.
If you tow anything really heavy it's a good idea to install an Exhaust Gas Temperature guage.
Although your gas milage probably won't go up when towing (I'm usually around 9-10mpg with 3.73 gears) it will increase during everyday driving. I usually get about 14.5mpg when empty if I feather the throttle which, is difficult.

Hi Neal, I pick up the 9 lb pulley tomorrow but I love this 7 lb pulley. I didn't beat your time last night but I am working on it. My best run was with my worst 60 foot of 2.212! Can we say up in smoke? Anyway, with that horible 60 foot time I ran 14.642 @ 93.44! I will scan my four runs and post them when I have more time. Later........
HI!... FLATSMAN : I know what you mean about BAD 60 ft's!!!!!!LOL! My truck runs consistant 2.0 60 ft's all the time. The last time to the dragstrip I went 14.52e.t @ 94.55MPH with a terrible 2.39 60 ft time! and on my stock tires, not my normal tires for the dragstrip. So roughly knock off 3.9 tenths and I should of went 14.13E.T on my stock tires!!!!!!!!LOL! Well I'm starting up my own performance company pretty soon in the new year (announcment in FEB) and will be sharing info and some of my custom built products. I'm currently working on a intercooler "ICE" box right now for the magnacharger and a aftermarket aftercooler that's much larger than the stock junker. Also ram air set-ups, traction bars, battery relocation kits, electric fan kits and so on.... My partner and I will be releasing a WEB site and talking to STEVE (webmaster) about becoming a vendor when we open up so just be patient. I also might have a connection for higher boost pulleys for the magnacharger as well, if everything goes according to plan!LOL! So with a few more mods this WINTER, (TOP SECRET) I should be the 1ST N/A F-150 into the 13's! I HOPE!
Hi Crash, Good to hear from you and I hope you are doing well. I totally agree that I should be able to put this truck into the 13's the way it sets right now except I need slicks badly! Thursday night was one of those warm damp Florida nights, about 70 F with a heavy dew all over my truck and of course the track. A lesson I learn was that my brakes must be adjusted properly. I rarely use the emergency brake here in Florida and with the burnouts, the rear brakes weren't readjusted. On the run above, when I staged with the brakes on and brought the rpm up, the wheels started a slow spin and I had to come back off the throttle as the lights were counting down. Won't happen next time. Also I will try your way and bring it off idle. The problem with that is the 2400 stall converter! I have you all set up to supply the pulleys. It is a "thank you" for all your help. I will post a photo when I have more time of the stock, 7, and 9 lb pulleys side by side. You will be surprised how big the 9 lb pulley is!
Neal, thanks for the encouragement! As soon as we get some cold dry weather down here, I will be in the high 13's. If you need data on your pulleys just let me know.
Oh yea Crash, when I "pulled" up at the track, a bunch of young guys came over to look at the truck and said "your Crash aren't you?" I almost died! Crash, If you haven't seen it, attached is a picture of the pulley on my truck.

And Now For The Rest Of The Story...... I said no I am not Crash, I am Flats Man, Brother of Sixpipes and they fell to their knees! "We are unworthy We are unworthy, they cried! So I signed a few autographs for the little people. On a more serious note, Take a look at these! I got tired of looking at that dirty old alternator pulley and the rusty 16 mm bolt that attached it. Here is the fix if you show your Magnacharger Truck. Enjoy.
A new urban legend.... Must Run In the family or something
Well Dougy,
It is really difficult to be in a family of urban legends, Go_rilas, Beasts --- and who knows what else.
Let's see, one puts on a larger lower pulley and overdrives the accessories, the other puts on a smaller blower pulley and is now putting on new pulleys to underdrive the accessories, electric fans, electric water pumps, chipsnfilters, throttle boddies, porting parts, billet this and billet that --- I am just wondering who is going to go for the billet 240 supercharger first with billet intake and billet heads, not to mention a billet block and radiator
Crash, funny you should mention pulse width. I have scheduled another dyno next week to check F/A, Pulse width, and RWHP. Any guesses on RWHP? Last time I ran, I measured 256.5 at the rear wheels. Mods since are, electric fan, 1/4 mile Super chip Program, Ported and Polished TB and Elbow, 7 lb pulley and I won't add anything for the cool billet alternator pully and acorn nut!
