Procharger Filter

I'm in a small dilemna. I bought a small filter from autozone for now, but my procharger filter gets crushed by my hood when I close it. Will this thing suck as much air in as I want? I had been running no filter at all. But I picked this up just to be on the safe side, but I'm afraid I won't see the power gains I want after driving it.

P.S. I haven't driven it yet. I might return it.

Thanks,

Jake
