Lightbulb Upgrading my Intercooler

I've been thinking about upping my s/c pulley by 2 or 3 lbs ( i hav a lathe that i can dig in on) but I live in 115Deg weather and desonation would be a bad thing. So im going to up the intercooler's performance..... how? I can only think to buy a bigger IC radiator? what else can I do? Bigger hoses? Bigger resevuor? eg she's a '00 Lightning

Spade$,, Have you tried to put a electric fan in the front of the rad?? That would keep her cooled.. I have big air fans on my 18teenwheeler when she gets hot i flip on the switch and watch her cool down quick... A bigger rad will be more wt. that you don't need.. I hope this will help you..

Thumbs up

Thanks Haul'n. I see that's your first post. Welcome and thanks. Now that i think about it that's something that people are always talking about. I might do both. The larger the radiator the easier the flow and the less work from the engine. the 2lbs wont makes as much a difference as the possible 30hp gained from upping the boost; im looking for the ability to safely compress more air in my SuperCharger. But i will definately look into a set of fans for my intercooler radiator. thanks again.

Have you considered water injection as a suppliment? Carrollsupercharing.com (I probably mispelled) has real nice kits. Their web site explains the science, features, and benefits of water injection. You can get into a kit for about 400 clams. It seem that they have a lot of experience from water injection applications on fairly well blown corvettes. They also talk about mixing the water 50/50 with methol alchohol.

yea i've been thinking about water injection. however i have no idea how it's going to mix into the works if i throw on a little NOS. I've heard it's great for your engine and adds a good amount of HP. If anyone has both systems (NOS and Water injection) on a S/C engine could you please tell me how she's working? If i do throw water in im planning on moving the battery to the bed and putting the water tank in its place... man this is going to **** off the guys at super chips when i ask what kind of program i should get with both water + nos + S/C and all the other works.

thanks for the recomendation
