So I'm going to do the turbo compressor route. The vehicle is a big heavy pig. 2001 Expedition EB awd 5.4 sohc. I've come to the conclusion that the 2v is a waste for what I'm needing even with ported tfs heads.
Currently I have a A/A water/meth with 16psi out of a vortech J trim. If I had to guess she's easily in the mid 12s If not closer to a 12 ET.
Here's the pic of the battle plan. My tuner answered most of these questions. I'm looking for input on the cam selection. Whats the next best thing to the s475/s480.
I'm shooting for a conservative 750/750hp/tq equal power band with plenty of room to grow! Might be using a blend of 100LL and 91pump.

So far I've only got the bov,engine crane/cherry picker. Picking up the long block in 2 weeks. I'm just in the parts collecting stage and will be for a few months.
Tuner also said expect a new trans rebuild once a year or there about. Nothing can be done to keep a 4r100 together at these levels. He talked about the 5r100, but if I had my way the zf-6 would be best.
The wife doesn't seem to understand the need for some odd reason?

Man how is he seeing theses numbers with a 2v head?? I've been reading non stop and digging around on all the mustang and lightning forums. From what I've seen even with tfs heads ported 700hp seems to hit a brick wall. There's more then a few on L rodder using the whipple 2.3 and big KB's that are totally unhappy with the $ to power ratio. It's the heads, they just can't flow enough for big numbers.
The 4v heads flow a$$ loads stock unported over the max ported tfs heads.
SHM in Canada has seen 300cfm intake & 230 exhaust with porting of course on the 5.4 dohc tumble port heads.
I made my decision based upon a guy trying to burn me on custom blower pulleys. I would need a new exhaust system anyway so turbo is the best solution. Cost effective and endless potential. I'm not wasting good money on over priced superchargers anymore man.
The new boss 302 composite intake fits the navi with the $200 adapters from MMR. Accufab makes a cable TB for the intake.
Kind of sucks seeing how I dumped about $4k less then a year ago with this big vortech set up. Hopefully I can sell it all and offset the navi build some.
