3.8 to 4.2

Will the supercharger from a 1990 Thunderbird super coupe with a 3.8 fit onto my 1998 F150 with a 4.2?

Yes and no. It can be done, however it is not a simple swap. While two motors share a lot of parts the intake will not swap over due to the split port heads. So you would need best case scenario adapter plates or worst case to build an intake manifold. Not worth it. Super Coupes were awesome cars and a sight to behold under the hood. However the intercooler system sucked. So you would want to address those issues as well. You may also have issues with fire wall clearance.

You may find a M112 swap from a 03-04 Cobra to be more practical. You will need an adapter plate but it will use your lower intake. Sorry no room for an intercooler. Meth injection will be a must. You may have to re route some hoses and modify your fuel rail. Here's a thread on it. http://www.sn95forums.com/showthread...oject-Pictures
