ProCharger Questions

Im looking at possibly buying a used P1sc-1 "tuner" kit, but before i pull the trigger im looking to answer a few questions that i couldnt find with the search function.

Does 2x4 vs 4x4 make a difference?

The "tuner" kit says that it omits tuning and injectors, therefore, is this safe to run without injectors and an additional in line fuel pump and tuning? if it requires tuning, what kind a tune am i needing? Dyno or handheld?

Is anyone currently running said setup, if so, what input/opinions do you have for the kit?

Thanks for any info you can provide!

2wd verses 4wd will not matter. You will need a custom dyno tune and 39, 42, or 47lb injectors. Take your pick. 42's are preferred amoung most tuners. You can run the stock pump but it's not wise. Look at an inline bap pr an upgraded fuel pump here http://www.fuel-pumps.net/fordf150fuelpump.html

#1 you'll want: 255lph intank pump, 39# or 42# injectors, a SVT 90mm MAF minimum, a 3.40 upper pulley, a ROCK SOLID tune from a reputable tuner

#2 do yourself a favor and upgrade to the D1 head unit and 3 core I/C

#3 good luck

Thanks for the great input, is the "good luck" a true statement, or a you're probably gonna blow something up "good luck"?

I have owned 5 and I love them.

Magnachargers are not as powerful, but they are what I started with...

Go with the D1SC and a 3 core intercooler. I will offer my help in supporting your installation. I have installed many. The tuner kit is designed for agressive tuning, and is NOT recommended to bolt on and go, and there is a laundry list to tune it. Trust me, you want the HO kits from 9-12 PSI. And I would suggest an out of the box complete system. You also get a 3-36 warranty. Start with an FMU and increase MAF size and injectors when you are ready for more power. ProCharger calls this a tuner kit but you can run the pump and FMU with 19l injectors. The FMU pushes 11-1 A/F ratio approximately.

Hit the project pages. www.i-disappear.com/turnkey.htm

Go with the D-1SC and the 3-core intercooler!

Excellent info once again, thank you.

Im currently the highest bidder here

Thoughts from all responders about this kit?
