Either way this one should flow just fine for what i need. Just hoping it won't need a tune to use it right now. I don't think it will. If it does I will likely start moving forward with a built motor. Thinking I will use my block and crank since down time with the truck is not an issue. Then I will give JDM a crack at tuning it.
Sounds like a plan.

So the 3v inlet will need opening up a little I suspect?

Could troyer not send you a revision for that TB? Also will you retain your intake pipe work for the time being?

I had the fuel rail welded last night. Not pretty, I started to pull the injectors after and notices one had collapsed inside and the steel sleeve was missing???

Looks like I will have to pull the trigger on some billet rails. So basically I've destroyed two OEM fuel rails and that whipple block lol. You live and learn I suppose.

I'm going to install it with 4" tubing for the intake from the maf to the tb. If I retain the Whipple inlet I will still have the bottle neck in the system this defeating the larger tb. Mike says the truck will need a retune and he will need for a few days to get it all right. Of course that what he always says. Everything you do needs a retune. Anyway it pissed me off. I've learned a lot from Mike but I think I'm ready for a change. We are talking a tb swap costing nearly a $1000 and that doesn't include the cost of tb. Me thinks not. So if needs any tuning I'll get up with JDM or start proceeding with the built motor and then tune it all.

Any progress? Your gonna retain the 95mm MAF I suspect?

Shame the Supplied Whipple MAF Couldn't be machined out! Well it could easily but no place for the intake to attach to it.

Not sure 100% but the 3v Mustang inlet might fit on correct. One sold not long ago for $150.

I was thinking about a JDM email tune But it ended up on the rollers.

TB should arrive tomorrow. Gonna use a 4" mandrel elbow and 4" smooth wall hose either Nautiflex, Shieldsflex, or Tridentflex as I can get my hands on short pieces at the boatyard for cheap if not free. They are super smooth inside with a steel wire reinforcement and resistant to just about everything. The 95mm MAF already has the 4inch flange as does the TB. The 95mm MAF flows 1312cfm so it will be fine for my needs. Really excited. This should be a quick install.

Sounds good fella. Am sure you will document the install for us all to see. 4" is pretty big and should flow real well with that fancy piping.

Well am still messing with the intake. Am trying to source parts for free or modify my current set up.

I think I will just buy a reducer for the 108mm MAF <--> Intake tube.

I have the original Whipe filter here. Is t any good? It fits onto the MAF just beautiful.

Yeah no issue with the Whipple filter. Just a K&N. Plenty of surface area to breath. If this works without additional tuning I'm headed to the strip.

BTW If you need any hose for your setup let me know.
