thats cool

2001 5.4,screw,4x4...

So I've done a few changes recently.....paxton,42# svt injectors,90mm lightning maf, performance tune, relocation of iat next to t/b,255 lph pump....all works great, now I've put in a pretty large intercooler. All 3" plumbing.
So my question is, what kind of iat values should I be seeing? I know I have dropped almost 25 degrees under normal driving and about 10-20 over ambiant temp under hard boost. It may sound dumb, but my license plate blocks a portion of cooler,tx says have it or else......so anyway, do these numbers sound about right?
I have posted one pic of the cooler plumbing, and will be posting a few pics of the cooler soon.

10-20 over ambient under hard boost sounds decent to me. That is if those were your temps from a full WOT pull.

So Is that 10-20 over ambient after doing WOT runs from first to last gear?

That was first time out with intercooler.....rollin bout 40mph,hard downshift into 2nd,wot till I very quickly ran out of road at about 100+mph prob near top of 3rd. The iat stayed a a fairly steady 14 degees above ambient.

sounds like your i/c is doing it's job, you can always look into a water/meth setup for additional cooling (post i/c)
