The modular motors came out in like 1994 I believe. So yea they are VERY old in car terms. Ford is just buying time with the new 5.8l in the GT500 and will make a variant to the 5.0 for the GT500.Probably an ecoboost badged 5.0 to 5.6 displacement engine. Maybe a 347 to keep the retro theme with the new 302

I think we need to talk. I might want your motor. Is it in your truck? If so we could swap and you could return yours to stock with my motor then trade it on one of the new trucks.

ive been iching to play with my new 5.0, but after beiong tired of my 06, buying a new 6.4 it ran 12's, and my stock 5.0 hits the speed limiter in 4th gear i could only imagine with a blower she would easliy suck up my old 5.4 roush truck

I was talking to Justin at VMP tuning about putting a new 5.0 in my 66 Falcon with a blower. He said with VCT I can run 10-15lbs no problem. Forged FRPP 5.0 is $7500 and blower is $5000 for 700-750rwhp

Now there's a thought. I wonder how different the foot print of the intake is on the new 5.0 verses the 5.4. If adapter plates could be made and the Whipple fitted to the new 5.0. Or if the spacing is just so far off it's not even possible.

Then again I would be just as happy with the 5.8 GT500 crate motor. Stick my Whipple on it and roll.
