Diablo tuner for SC
Diablo tuner for SC
I've read about SCT and EDGE but haven't heard of anyone running a Diablo tuner with their SC. I have a Whipple that I plan on installing this spring and am looking for feedback on the diablo tuner. Has anyone ran their custom tunes (do they have any for SC'd trucks)? I was looking at having it dyno'ed and see more dyno shops in the area that use diablo. just looking for some feedback. I'm still not sure which will work out the best, a custom tune or a dyno tune, a lot of different choices out there, just don't want to make the wrong one. Thanks for the input.
From what I understand SCT and Diablo can open and adjust the same parameters. The trick is gonna be finding a tuner who uses Diablo who is actually capable of tuning an sc'd F150. And no just because they tuned a lightning or tune mustangs doesn't mean they can tune your f150. It's a whole different animal. Beware!
sct and edge are more popular than diablo, thats the biggest reason. It doesn't mean their product is better. The Diablo, sct and edge all do the same thing, load the tunes into the truck. Each product may have some different adjustable options.
The tunes that are put in the truck are whats important. Dyno tunes are the best. There are a few names that pop up when talking about who is best at buillding the tunes. Just find somebody that you trust.

The issue that I am having is finding someone in the area that has done this before. It doesn't seem like a lot of people work on gas trucks here in the upper midwest. I have some more calling around to do, not putting the SC on until after the snoe and ice is gone.
Lol Edge...a useless box stuck in the dash for people who think about performance but haven't a clue what it really is.
Call Troyer or jdm.....

Yeah what he said call Troyer and forget the rest of what he said.
Most tuners will tune to a WOT AF ratios and trans shift points/line pressures and that's it they have no clue what a tq mgmt sys even is as an example. If you don't tune that you'll blowout trans and such.
Net is truck won't be safe, it will feel less powerful, and you'll be pi$$ed. Troyer will adjust hundreds of thing it make it right.
