All I want for Christmas is a WHIPPLE!
8 PSI is only cool for the first few months and then you crave more. So my winter plans are to up the boost and a few supporting mods. Everyone here told me a year ago that I should just up the boost from the get go and I should have listened and you might want to also.

I'm probably in no position to give out advice on those types of questions.. But from lurking around reading I have learned there really is no "safe" zone. Boosting an engine has risk, this is why choosing a reputable tuner is so important, it minimizes the risk since there is not really such thing as "safe". IF tuned properly you can make a great amount of power on the stock block with minimal risk of issues. You will see a few guys running 450-475ish rwhp on stock engines, but they are tuned by some of the best who know what they are doing. How you drive the truck is also another great variable in what is "safe". Sounds like you mainly want the extra power for towing, so you probably won't be hot roddin it which helps to reduce the risk also. If you have no desire to really be fast, just more towing power, I would stick with the base kit setup so you don't have to worry about additional cost of upgrading the fuel system. That blower should give you plenty enough torque to be happy towing with. I'm also not trying to say that running less power is necessarily less of a risk, things happen unfortunately.
If any of that is incorrect I'm sure someone more experienced will chime in, many people here know what they are talking about, and are worth listening to!

Blackout has being paying attention. Great advice. If you plan to tow stick with the 8psi kit. That's what its designed for. Upgrade the injectors like you planned. Add LT headers, 2.5" duals, electric fans, Troyer valve body, and a Troyer tune. You will love it and be able to pull a house down.
That for the ideas guys! I have already have e-fans and have thought about long tubes. Maybe next year for the headers.
I guess we'll see how long I go before I need more boost. But with it truly for towing it will be summer before I get to really get to test it.
If I feel the need for speed I have a few other options...

Oh ya - JANVIER - I got the kit from TeamJDM. Jim III was great to deal with, even after I badgered him for a month to get the best possible pricing. Not sure if I can say what I paid but at the end of the day the kit and injectors were significantly less then the sticker price on their site. I was offered a bottom line price of $4800 from a few different places and Jim came thru with a good deal .
