Krankvent install?

Ok i ordered a set of these and was looking the truck over to find the lines to tap.

#1 Found tube from paas going under whipple no problem.
#2 found tube from PCV in drivers VC going to the back of whipple intake.

Well #2 is a "metal" tube covered by a foam wrapping? It's the right tube i'm pretty sure.

Anyone else run into this? Is this just 07? Don't really want to cut it in case the KV are a bust.

Any ideas? Seems like ends of tube are "push & twist" connections so just replacing with hose wouldn't work.

I'll take a pic on friday and post
Here are a few Pics: The insulation covered line right above the dipstick

I pulled back some of the insulation and it is metal?

Anyboby got ideas? Could it be that it's metal since my truch used to be flex fuel?

Yeah, that's it. Roush provided a new hose set up that t'd into a hose at the bottom of the intake manifold. I'm sure you could buy a new piece if it doesn't work out, but I don't know why you could use a hose in place of the stock tubing. I'm not sure why the OEM hose has insulation.

Ok i got it now. It wasn't metal, but instead a thin hard plastic. Hard to tell. Probably why it had foam over it. Probably need to put some back around it.

We'll see if the plastic leaks around the krankvent first, but for now there on and truck runs fine with no real signs of noises or diff in vac pressure.

Right around 21 hg with A/C off and 19 hg or so with it on.

I cut the PCV line and installed the KV too, mine "seeps" no matter how tight the hose clamp is, but I haven't been able to look into to fix it (overseas). Let me know if yours leaks.
