Per Mr. Troyer, back when: an accurate pyrometer (EGT gauge) installed with the probe not more than 1.25" off the face of the hottest cylinder
Mine is in #1, but it should be # 5 on a 2v for as the lack of cooling makes bit more heat there. The 3v temps/locations may be altogether different.
