Lightbulb W140AX Whipple supercharger sight glass cleaning

After only 40k miles my oil level sight glass is looking like this...

I can't even tell if there is any oil in it.
Does anyone else have this problem?
I'm thinking whipple has the vent on the inside of the supercharger and the oil fumes from the pcv valve is getting into the oil. Either that or the oil runs so hot it oxidizes.

I ended up grinding down a 23mm socket to remove the sight glass and after a few more steps it looks like this

If that sight glass had build up on it, you can expect other internal non moving parts to have the same...

As long as it doesn't harm the supercharger in any way, I'll just wait till the next time I need to clean it to disassemble everything.

The black stuff that came off was a very thin layer of greasy sludge. Just touching it with my finger wiped it off

Curious what oil you put in it. I spoke with the folks at Whipple the other day as I wanted to order some oil and the guy told me to just to get the oil from the Ford or GM dealer. Its the same oil they use in there blowers. He also said to try GM first as they are $10 cheaper.
